French Green Bean Soup

This turned out to be a most delicious soup...better than I had expected given the simple ingredients. The recipe comes from a new cook book by Crescent Dragonwagon "Bean by Bean". You begin by mixing together finely chopped garlic and butter.

Chop a whole red onion.

Chop celery.

Saute the onions and celery in a large pot.

Add potatoes, fresh green beans, and vegetable stock.

Cook until bean and potatoes are tender. Puree the soup in a blender or a hand held mixer.

Add a dollop of the garlic butter and freshly cracked pepper. It was delicious and nutritious!

I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack!

Wow...my last post was 2009! Back then I was attempting to model blog writing for my students using a website called think.com. I "think" it is still around but not sure. My students did make "blogs" on this website but unfortunately it was a closed system. The only people that could read their posts were other students at our school that also used think.com. Not much of an audience, right? Because of that the blogs quickly withered and died. An audience is what nourishes and feeds a blog. If I don't have an audience whom am I writing to? I could just as well keep a diary rather than a blog. Well, I'm  back and I have a new recipe to share!
